Cookie Policy
Last Updated: March 9, 2026
The Short Version
We use a small number of cookies to understand how people find and use our website. We don't use cookies to advertise to you, track you across other sites, or build a profile of your behavior. That's not what we're about.
Here's the longer version.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit. They help the site work properly and help us understand how visitors interact with our pages.
Similar technologies — like pixels and web beacons — work in comparable ways. When we say “cookies” in this policy, we mean all of these.
What Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
These make the site work. They handle things like basic page navigation and security. Without them, the site wouldn't function. We don't use these to track you or collect personal information.
Analytics Cookies
These help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages get visited, how long people stay, and how they found us. We use this information to make the site better.
We currently use Google Analytics for this purpose. The data collected is anonymous and aggregated — we see patterns and trends, not individual identities.
That's it. We don't use advertising cookies, marketing cookies, or social media tracking cookies.
What Analytics Collects
Through our analytics tools, the following general information may be collected:
- Pages viewed and links clicked
- Time spent on each page
- How you arrived at the site (search engine, direct link, referral)
- Browser type and version
- Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
- Operating system
- General geographic region (based on IP address — not your precise location)
This information is used to improve the website. It is not tied to your name, email, or any personal information you submit through our forms.
Third-Party Services
Google Analytics places cookies on your device when you visit our site. Google has its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
If you'd prefer not to be tracked by Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Your Choices
You're in control of cookies on your device. Most browsers let you:
- See which cookies are stored
- Delete some or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific or all websites
- Block third-party cookies specifically
Cookie settings in common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy
- Edge: Settings > Privacy, Search, and Services > Cookies
Disabling certain cookies may affect how parts of the site work, but we've kept our cookie usage minimal so the impact should be small.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. There's no universal standard for how websites should respond to these signals yet. We don't currently respond to DNT signals, but we'll update this policy if that changes.
How Long Cookie Data Is Kept
Analytics data is retained according to the default settings of our analytics provider. For Google Analytics, this is typically 14 to 26 months, after which it's automatically deleted.
Essential cookies expire at the end of your browsing session or within a short defined period.
If This Policy Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. We won't add new types of tracking (like advertising or marketing cookies) without updating this policy and making it clear.
