The Short Version

We use a small number of cookies to understand how people find and use our website. We don't use cookies to advertise to you, track you across other sites, or build a profile of your behavior. That's not what we're about.

On your first visit, you choose what's comfortable. You can change your mind at any time.

• Reject non-essential cookies. Only essential cookies are placed.

You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat that as a rejection of non-essential cookies and respect it automatically.

What Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

These help the site work and ensure security. They do not track you or collect personal information. Examples include cookies that remember your consent preferences and basic session state.

Analytics Cookies

These help us understand how visitors use the site: which pages get visited, how long people stay, and how people found us. We use this information to make the site better.

We currently use Google Analytics for this purpose. The data is pseudonymized (we don't see your name or email) and aggregated for our reporting. IP addresses are anonymized before being processed.

That's it. We don't use advertising cookies, marketing cookies, or social media tracking cookies on the marketing site.

What Analytics Collects

If you've accepted analytics cookies, the following general information may be collected:

• How you arrived at the site (search engine, direct link, referral)

• General geographic region (based on anonymized IP address, not your precise location)

This information is used to improve the website. It is not tied to your name, email, or any personal information you submit through our forms.

Third-Party Services

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics places cookies on your device when you visit our site. Google has its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

If you'd prefer not to be tracked by Google Analytics, you can either:

• Reject analytics cookies in our consent banner

Global Privacy Control

Some browsers and extensions support Global Privacy Control (GPC), a signal that tells websites you don't want your data sold or shared. We honor GPC signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal when you visit Roonify, we treat it as a rejection of analytics and other non-essential cookies, without requiring you to interact with our consent banner.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. There's no universal standard for how websites should respond to these signals, and DNT has largely been replaced by GPC (above). We do not currently respond to DNT signals on their own. If you want to opt out of analytics, please use the GPC signal or our consent banner.

Your Choices

You're in control of cookies on your device. In addition to our consent banner, most browsers let you:

• Delete some or all cookies
• Block cookies from specific or all websites
• Block third-party cookies specifically

Disabling analytics cookies will not affect how the marketing site works. Essential cookies are needed for the site (and our consent banner) to function.

How Long Cookie Data Is Kept

Analytics data is retained according to the default settings of our analytics provider. For Google Analytics, this is typically 14 months, after which it's automatically deleted.

Essential cookies expire at the end of your browsing session or within a short defined period. Consent preference cookies persist until you clear them or change your choice.

The Product

This Cookie Policy applies to the marketing website at roonify.com. The Roonify product (the application you access after signing in) is covered by our Privacy Policy.

If we extend the use of analytics into the product in the future, we will update this policy and our Privacy Policy before that change takes effect and explain what's collected and why.

If This Policy Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. We won't add new types of tracking (like advertising or marketing cookies) without updating this policy and making it clear in our consent banner.
